About OBHAW

Ouachita Behavioral Health & Wellness is the nonprofit Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) for five surrounding counties. You may receive services in one of our five locations that are located in Hot Springs, Malvern, Arkadelphia, Glenwood, and Mt Ida.

We see over 5,500 clients per year, half of whom have a serious mental illness. Current estimates indicate that 83% of those we serve are low to moderate-income, with 61% being on Medicaid.

Perhaps the most compelling reason to choose Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness as your source for counseling is our approach to treatment. We employ a team of over 50 trained professionals who are trained in evidence-based counseling techniques and specialize in certain disorders. We believe that everyone can be healed, and we have the resources to help you get there. All of our providers, from our licensed counselors to our psychiatrists, use a personalized approach to care. We work in partnership with clients to develop treatment plans. We believe that person-centered treatment is the most effective.

Our mission at OBHAW is to bring hope and healing to our community, one life at a time, and we see that carried out daily. At OBHAW, we believe that a collaborative, whole-person approach to behavioral health care will help people in our communities to heal. Our team is dedicated to helping every individual find a path to healing that fits them. Our mission guides our organization in seeking out and continuing services and programs that help bring hope and health to each person within our communities.
